Michael Munyon ID’d as Man Killed in South Sacramento Car Accident at Stockton Boulevard and Lindale Drive

South Sacramento, California (July 9, 2020) – Authorities have identified Michael Munyon, 73, of Pollock Pines, as the man who was killed in a two-vehicle accident that left two other victims injured on Saturday afternoon in South Sacramento.
At about 2:45 p.m., on July 4, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash at Stockton Boulevard and Lindale Drive.
As per the CHP report, a vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old woman, was traveling northbound on Stockton Boulevard when it allegedly ran through a red light and struck Munyon’s car.
Munyon was traveling westbound on Lindale and was attempting to turn onto Stockton Boulevard when the collision occurred, the officials said.

Munyon was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other parties were injured in the crash.
The 25-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by a family member.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
