M.N. Ankenbrandt Hospitalized after Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident on Palmdale Boulevard in Palmdale
M.N. Ankenbrandt Among 5 Injured in Fatal Palmdale Car Accident on Palmdale Boulevard near 80th Street East
Palmdale, California (July 4, 2020) – M.N. Ankenbrandt, 20, of Lancaster, has been identified as one of the five victims who were injured in a fatal multi-car accident on Thursday evening in Sun Village, Palmdale, authorities said.
The fatal crash happened on Palmdale Boulevard, east of 80th Street East, at around 6:20 p.m., July 3.
A 2014 Hyundai, driven by a 20-year-old Palmdale man, was traveling eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard when it drifted into the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a 2020 Toyota, operated by Tori Ann Haywood, 42, of Smithville, the CHP said.
Another 2021 Hyundai, driven by Tia Perkins, 21, of McMinnville, that was traveling westbound on Palmdale Boulevard behind the Toyota, reportedly got involved in the accident.

Haywood and the 2014 Hyundai driver succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Ankenbrandt was transported to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries. She was a passenger in the 2014 Hyundai.
Tyjhai Ladet, 18, of Smithville, who was a passenger in the Toyota, sustained major injuries in the accident. Ladet was taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Three other passengers in the Toyota, all from Smithville, suffered moderate injuries and were also taken to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment.
Perkins was not injured in the collision.
