At Least 1 Hospitalized After Sylmar Police Car Accident at Polk Street and Dronfield Avenue
Sylmar, California (July 1, 2020) – A traffic collision involving a marked patrol vehicle at an intersection in Sylmar, Monday evening, sent at least one person to the hospital.
The two-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Polk Street and Dronfield Avenue at around 5:00 p.m. on June 29.
The mishap involved a pickup truck and the marked patrol vehicle that collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
Due to the impact, two Los Angeles Police District officers were pinned inside their car. The officers were extricated from the wreckage by Los Angeles firefighters who responded at the scene shortly after 5:00 p.m.
