At Least 1 Killed in Ontario Big Rig Crash on 10 Freeway near Archibald Avenue
Ontario, California (June 16, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a deadly traffic collision that happened Tuesday morning in the eastbound lanes of 10 Freeway in Ontario.
According to a California Highway Patrol log, the collision happened at about 9:30 a.m. at Archibald Avenue near Ontario International Airport.
As per the report, the crash involved two semi-trucks and a third car. The car was allegedly stuck in between the semis and the driver was trapped inside.
At least one person died in the accident, authorities said.
A SigAlert was issued closing all eastbound lanes. The SigAlert was expected to last for about two hours.
Tow trucks were needed to remove at least two of the vehicles.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
