Authorities Investigating South Gate Car Accident on 710 Freeway near Firestone Boulevard
South Gate, California (June 1, 2020) – A major injury collision involving two cars occurred Sunday night on a freeway in South Gate, the California Highway Patrol said.
The vehicles collided at about 9:10 p.m. in the southbound lanes of 710 Freeway, just south of Firestone Boulevard.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help at least one person who was severely injured.
The crash caused the closure of all southbound lanes of the freeway and the Firestone Boulevard on-ramp until at 9:47 p.m. when they were reopened.
CHP is collecting more information to establish the cause of the crash.
