40-Year-Old Man Killed in San Jose Bicycle Accident on Guadalupe River Trail near West Julian Street
San Jose, California (May 29, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a bicycle accident that left a 40-year-old man with fatal injuries mid this month in San Jose.
The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m., on May 15, on Guadalupe River Trail near the 300 block of West Julian Street.
As per the police report, the 40-year-old man was cycling southbound on the roadway approaching an underpass when, for unknown reasons, he collided with another bicycle.
Fatal Bicycle Accident on Guadalupe River Trail in San Jose
The 40-year-old man was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. His identity was not disclosed.
The other cyclist, only identified as a 24-year-old man, was treated at the scene.
Both cyclists were not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
