Male Rider Hospitalized after Santa Maria Motorcycle Accident at Skyway Drive and Auto Park Drive
Santa Maria, California (May 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle accident that left one person injured in Santa Maria.
The crash happened at around 1:15 p.m., on May 19, at Skyway Drive and Auto Park Drive near the Santa Maria Public Airport.
As per the police report, a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Skyway Drive when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a red pickup truck at the intersection of Auto Park Drive.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital in unknown condition. It was not clear if the pickup driver was injured but was hospitalized for evaluation.
The pickup was damaged on the driver’s side fender while the motorcycle was wrecked.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation.
