Bakersfield, California (May 17, 2020) – One person was killed and several others were injured in a semi-truck accident on Sunday evening in Bakersfield, according to police.
The crash happened at about 6:27 p.m. on Old River and Copus Roads.
Authorities said a Subaru, for unknown reasons, collided with a semi-truck on the roadway. The reasons that contributed to the crash are yet to be established.
A female occupant was pinned in the Subaru as a result of the collision. She appeared to be passing out after the crash.

One victim in the Subaru died as a result of the accident. Other patients in the car sustained minor injuries.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the mishap.
The crash remains under investigation.
