Morong0 Valley, California (May 12, 2020) – A Yucca Valley man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after a car crash that left two people injured in Morongo Valley on Saturday evening.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 8 p.m. May 9, on Highway 62 at Senilis Avenue.

The authorities said 33-year-old Woden Taggart-Chimitt was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon eastbound on Highway 62 when he failed to slow down and crashed into a 2015 Jeep Cherokee that was stopped at a red light.

The Jeep driver, 41-year-old Enrique DeLeon Haro, and his passenger, 61-year-old Rosemary Haro, were injured in the accident and were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.

Woden Taggart-Chimitt was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence causing injuries and was booked into West Valley Detention Center.
