San Diego, California (April 3, 2020) – A 30-year-old Corona woman was killed in a collision that occurred Wednesday night on Interstate 15 in San Diego’s Grantville neighborhood, a local news source reported.
The crash took place at about 9:50 p.m. April 1, in the northbound lanes near Friars Road.
CHP said a Mercedes sedan, a Chevrolet Avalanche, and a Honda Accord sedan were involved in the crash. The Chevrolet overturned as a result of the collision.

The Corona woman was driving the Chevrolet and was pronounced deceased at the scene. A man aged 52 was a passenger in the Chevrolet and was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital with major injuries.
A 28-year-old San Diego man who was operating the Mercedes was transported to Sharp Memorial with moderate injuries.
The driver of the Honda, a 22-year-old San Diego man, was uninjured but his passenger, a 27-year-old Chula Vista woman, was treated for minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the wreck.
The crash is under an active investigation.
