Emerson Herrarte ID’d as Rider Killed in Danville Motorcycle Crash on 680 Freeway near El Cerro Boulevard Interchange

Danville, California (April 1, 2020) – The motorcyclist who died after he was involved in a crash Sunday night on 680 Freeway in Danville has been identified as Emerson Quinonez Herrarte, 22, of Concord, a local news source reported.
Herrarte reportedly lost control of his bike and went down on the freeway near the El Cerro Boulevard interchange at about 8:10 p.m. March 30.
Authorities said Herrarte may have been hit by another vehicle when he was laying down in the traffic lanes. The driver of that car stopped and cooperated with authorities.

Herrarte was riding a red 2004 Honda CBR and died in the accident.
Officers are investigating the cause of the crash.
