El Centro, California (March 31, 2020) – One person was transported to an area hospital following a traffic collision that happened in El Centro Monday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash involving a big rig was reported in the afternoon hours on 8 Freeway near Mile Marker 61.
The primary report indicated that a silver Mercedes was moving on the westbound side of the Interstate when it rear-ended the truck for unknown reasons.
1 Injured After Car and Truck Collided on 8 Freeway in El Centro
One person sustained injures in the wreck. The victim was then transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Meanwhile, the identity and the current condition of the patient have not yet been released to this time.
The cause of the accident remains under an active investigation.
