Man Killed, 2 Hurt in Jurupa Valley Crash on Sierra Avenue near Karen Lane
Jurupa Valley, California (March 24, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a man with fatal injuries on Monday morning in Jurupa Valley.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at around 6:52 a.m. Monday, March 23, on Sierra Avenue, just north of Karen Lane.
Officials said two vehicles collided for reasons yet to be determined.
Deadly 2-Car Crash on Sierra Avenue
Firefighters along with medical personnel responded to the scene and declared a male driver dead at the crash site. The name of the deceased person was not immediately released awaiting notification of family.
A person pinned inside one of the cars was freed by the firefighters. The victim was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Officials confirmed that the two drivers were the only persons occupying the vehicle at the time.
Authorities did not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a role in the accident.
