Man Killed and Another Hurt in Brea Car Accident on Brea Canyon Road

Brea, California (March 20, 2020) – A man in his 60’s died, and a 45-year-old man was injured when their vehicles collided Friday morning in Brea, a local news source reported.
The collision happened just before 8:00 a.m. on Brea Canyon Road, near the border between Los Angeles and Orange counties.
According to authorities, the man in his 60’s, who hails from Walnut, was driving a Honda Civic south on Brea Canyon Road when, for unknown reasons, lost control of his car. The Civic went off the road, came back on the road and then crossed into the northbound lane where it collided with a Nissan van driven by the 45-year-old man.
The driver of the Civic died at the crash scene. The driver of the van sustained minor injuries.
Both northbound and southbound lanes were closed at 8:02 a.m. following the crash. All lanes were reopened at 12:59 p.m.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
