Man Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Accident on Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard
Fremont, California (March 19, 2020) – A man was fatally struck by a Honda driver on Thursday morning in Fremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly crash was reported a while before 6:00 a.m. Thursday, March 18, on northbound Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard.
Officials said that it was unclear if the man was walking outside or inside a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Deadly Pedestrian Crash Kills Man in Fremont
Responding firefighters declared the man dead at the crash site. The name of the deceased man was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
Officials confirmed that the Honda motorist did not flee but remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Authorities asked drivers to seek alternate routes as they closed northbound Mission Boulevard at Warm Springs Boulevard due to the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
