Solano Beach, California (March 19, 2020) – 29-year-old Zulma Johana Barrios has been arrested after a suspected DUI Solano Beach collision that claimed one life and left several others with injuries on Saturday, according to authorities.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Los Angeles resident Felicitas Navarro has been identified as the fatal victim in March 14 crash on 15 Freeway.
Authorities said a black Toyota Scion, for reasons still under investigation, spun out of control and hit the median. A man in a white Toyota Corolla stopped his car to assist the Scion occupants.
Barrios, a Chevrolet Tahoe driver, then approached the freeway at a high rate of speed. The Chevrolet then crashed into the Scion.
Following the impact, one of the vehicles overturned before it burst into flames.

Responding firefighters along with medical personnel declared Navarro, the Scion driver, dead at the crash site.
Two other persons occupying the Scion sustained severe injuries as a result of the crash. The Corolla driver suffered severe injuries due to the crash.
Barrios and her two passengers suffered severe injuries following the collision.
All six patients were hospitalized.
Barrio was later arrested and officials confirmed that he will face charges of driving under the influence of marijuana and vehicular manslaughter.
The incident remains under investigation.
