Phylis Newell Among 2 Killed in Palm Springs Collision on East Vista Chino
Palm Springs, California (March 18, 2020) – One of the two people killed in a two-vehicle collision that happened in the area of Palm Springs late Monday night has been identified as Phylis Newell, 68, from Oklahoma, authorities reported.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. March 16, on East Vista Chino at North Indian Canyon Drive.
The accident involved two vehicles that collided along the roadway for reasons still under an active investigation.

Sadly, Newell and one other person riding with her in one of the cars were declared dead at the crash site. Two other victims were hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in the wreck.
Detectives believed drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
