Los Angeles, California (February 24, 2020) – A driver died following a car accident that happened in the area of Los Angeles on Saturday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fatal collision was reported on February 22 along the 10 Freeway near Crenshaw Boulevard.

As per the CHP report, the accident began when an unspecified vehicle heading eastbound on the highway moved out of the lane it was traveling in and side-swiped a smaller car.

The larger automobile lost control and drove up an embankment before it rolled over upon the impact.

CHP Investigating Fatal Los Angeles Car Crash on 10 Freeway

Officials said the car operator died at the scene after being ejected from the vehicle.

There were no other victims injured following the mishap.

The crash resulted in the closure of Parts of the 10 Freeway throughout Sunday morning. 

The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
