Santa Barbara, California (February 18, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon accident that left a toddler hospitalized at a residence in Santa Barbara.

The collision happened in the 1800 block of Olive Street at around 2:25 p.m. February 16.

As per the CHP officials, a resident was working on an old model Vintage vehicle when it slipped into gear accidentally and drove off the garage and hit a child trapping the toddler against an SUV that was parked in the driveway.

Firefighters along with medical personnel responded to the scene and rushed the toddler to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
