Brandon Cowles Arrested after North Highlands Crash at Auburn Boulevard and Hemlock Street

North Highlands, California (February 18, 2020) – A driver and six juveniles were hurt after a suspected DUI collision on Saturday evening in the area of North Highlands, according to authorities.
The crash happened at the junction of Auburn Boulevard and Hemlock Street at around 6:40 p.m. Saturday, February 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Nissan Sentra was traveling eastbound on Auburn Boulevard when it attempted to turn into Hemlock Street and crashed into a westbound Chevy Malibu.

Responding firefighters along with medical personnel attended to the Malibu driver and their six juvenile passengers who suffered severe injuries in the crash. Authorities said that the children were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Authorities arrested the Nissan driver, identified as 26-year-old Brandon David Cowles, on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation is underway.
