Joey Allen Killed in Los Angeles Crash on 405 Freeway near Getty Center Drive

Los Angeles, California (February 17, 2020) – The driver who was killed in a wrong-way collision on the 405 Freeway in the Sepulveda Pass early Sunday morning has been identified as Joey Trianders Allen, 43, of Lancaster, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner’s Office.
The wreck was reported just after 2:30 a.m. February 16, north of Getty Center Drive.
CHP said Marco Abrego, 42, of Northridge was driving a 2010 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck southbound in the northbound lanes of the freeway when he collided head-on with an oncoming 2000 Jaguar S-Type.
The Jaguar spun out and collided with a 2010 Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Jaguar, identified as Allen, died in the crash.
The Toyota driver declined medical transport.
Abrego was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of DUI. He was booked into jail on a $100,000 bail.
The incident remains under investigation.
