1 Killed in Long Beach Pedestrian Crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Caspian Avenue

Long Beach, California (February 4, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash that led to the death of one person on Sunday night in Long Beach.
The collision happened at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Caspian Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 2nd.
As per the CHP officials, a pedestrian was walking north across PCH outside of a marked crosswalk when they were hit by a Toyota Camry heading west.
A second car described as a red Chevrolet Tahoe reportedly hit the pedestrian a second time before fleeing the crash site. The Chevrolet was later found abandoned in Lomita.

The Toyota driver, identified as a 56-year-old Wilmington man, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The pedestrian died in the collision.
No one has been arrested in connection with the collision. Witnesses are asked to call police at 562-570-5520, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
