At Least 1 Injured in Berkeley Car Accident on 80 Freeway and University Avenue
Berkeley, California (January 25, 2020) – At least one person was injured after a multi-vehicle collision Friday night in the area of Berkeley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, January 24, on eastbound 80 Freeway, just adjacent to University Avenue on-ramp.
Authorities said three vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation. One person was lying in the slow lane following the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to render aid to at least one person who sustained severe injuries in the crash. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately released.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene.
The cars were blocking lane 3 and 4 following the crash. The roadway was cleared as of 12:19 a.m.
