Jesus Echeverria ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Fresno Crash near Fresno and Bullard Avenues

Fresno, California (January 9, 2020) – The victim who died in a suspected DUI car vs bicycle accident early Wednesday morning in Fresno has been identified as Jesus Echeverria, 39, according to the Fresno County Coroner.
The Fresno resident died in the incident that happened after midnight on Wednesday, January 8, near Fresno and Bullard avenues.
Police said Echeverria was riding a bike when he was hit by a car driven by Deshawn Mayo, 47.
Jesus Echeverria Killed in Fresno Bicycle Accident
Echeverria was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Mayo reportedly fled the scene after the crash but police later located and arrested him. He is facing charges including DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The incident is under investigation.
