National City, CA: Major Traffic Crash on 5 Freeway Tuesday Afternoon
Authorities Investigating National City Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Mile Of Cars Way Off-Ramp
National City, California (January 8, 2020) – Authorities said a car crash that happened Tuesday afternoon on 5 Freeway in National City resulted in major injuries.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle collision occurred at about 2:28 p.m. in the northbound lanes at the Mile Of Cars Way off-ramp.
A black vehicle and a small silver vehicle were involved in the accident. The manner of the crash was not mentioned.
Responding paramedics confirmed that major injuries were suffered in the crash. The number of patients was, however, not mentioned.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the scene.
CHP is investigating the incident.
