Olympic Valley, California (January 6, 2020) – A boy was hospitalized after being involved in a ski accident last Tuesday morning in Olympic Valley, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at the Squaw Valley on Tuesday, December 31.

According to the report, 10-year-old Nolan Chong of San Francisco was skiing with his father Joseph when a 13-year-old member of the Squaw Valley ski team crashed into him on a black diamond run. The teen was racing with another member of the team when he lost control and crashed into Nolan.

Nolan sustained two broken vertebrae in his back.

No other injuries were reported.
