Thomas Browning Injured in DUI Car Crash on Highway 46 in Shandon, Zoe Kirkpatrick Arrested
San Luis Obispo, California (December 23, 2019) – A man was seriously injured in a traffic collision involving a big rig in the Shandon area of San Luis Obispo on Sunday morning.
The accident happened on Highway 46 near the Shandon Rest Area at about 6 a.m. December 22, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said 68-year-old Thomas Browning of Oakdale was driving a semi-truck when he crashed into a car that was stopped partially on the shoulder.
Browning sustained serious injuries in the accident and was flown to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the parked car, 29-year-old Zoe Kirkpatrick of Echo Park, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
No other information was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
