2 Killed, 1 Hospitalized after Bakersfield Car Crash on South Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (December 20, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a traffic collision that occurred Friday morning in South Bakersfield, leaving two people dead and another hospitalized.
Authorities said the crash involved a white pickup truck and a Honda sedan.
The vehicles collided at about 6:53 a.m. on South Union Avenue and Highway 223.
As per the report, a man driving a white pickup truck north in the southbound lane of Union Avenue crashed into a Honda sedan driven by a woman on Highway 223.
Two people lost their lives in the crash. A third victim was hospitalized with major injuries.
Authorities said the crash is being investigated as a DUI.
