Novato, California (December 20, 2019) – An elderly man was on Thursday night struck and killed by a train in Novato, according to the authorities.
The crash was reported at about 8:31 p.m. Thursday, December 19, between the Hamilton and San Marin stations.
A pedestrian was reportedly hit by a SMART train. The train stopped between Grant and Railroad avenues as investigators examined the scene.

The victim, a 71-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
