Douglas Munz Killed in Chollas View Pedestrian Accident on Euclid Avenue
Douglas Munz Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Euclid Avenue near Hilltop Drive in Chollas View
San Diego, California (December 17, 2019) – The man who was hit and killed by a vehicle Monday night in the Chollas View neighborhood has been identified by authorities as Douglas Munz, 63.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 10:00 p.m. Monday, December 16 on Euclid Avenue near Hilltop Drive.
Authorities said Munz, who was believed to be homeless, was attempting to cross Euclid Avenue when he was struck by a 2016 Cadillac sedan that was traveling southbound.

Munz was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
