Lakehead, California (December 16, 2019) – A driver was injured in a traffic collision involving a big rig in Lakehead, Shasta County, on Monday morning.
According to a local news source, the accident happened on Interstate 5 Freeway near Lakeshore Drive.
A van was traveling on the roadway when it crashed into the rear of a big rig for unknown reasons.
The van driver sustained serious injuries including broken legs and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The truck driver was unhurt.
A dog that was in the van at the time of the collision was killed.
