Paulina Almeda Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Crash on Fruitridge Road near Nona Way
Sacramento, California (December 16, 2019) – The woman who was fatally hit by a vehicle early sunday morning in south Sacramento has been identified as Paulina Almeda, 41, of Sacramento, according to the authorities.
The crash happened just before 3 a.m. December 15, on Fruitridge Road near Nona Way.
According to the CHP, a 24-year-old Sacramento woman was driving a Ford Windstar westbound on Fruitridge Road when she struck Almeda, who was trying to cross the road outside of a crosswalk.
Paulina Almeda Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Crash
Emergency crews found Almeda lying in the middle of the street. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and contacted the authorities.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
