2 Injured in Monterey Car Accident on Highway 68 at Olmstead Road
Monterey, California (December 16, 2019) – Two people were injured Friday afternoon in a traffic accident in Monterey, according to a local news source.
The wreck, which was reported at around 1:47 p.m. Friday, December 13, happened on Highway 68, just east of Olmstead Road. Highway 68 is also known as Monterey-Salinas Highway.
As per the report, three vehicles collided on Highway 68 for an unknown reason. As a result of the collision, one of the involved vehicles veered off the road and crashed into a tree before it came to rest in a westbound direction. Another vehicle sustained major right-side damage.
2 Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 68 at Olmstead Road in Monterey
One person was taken by a ground ambulance to the trauma center at Natividad Hospital in Salinas while another was transported to Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.
The accident remains under investigation.
