25-Year-Old Woman Critically Injured in Normal Heights Crash on Adams Avenue and 34th Street

San Diego, California (December 13, 2019) – A woman was hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in an accident that left her dog dead on Thursday evening in Normal Heights.
The crash took place on Adams Avenue and 34th Street at about 6:50 p.m. December 12.
According to police, the 25-year-old woman and her dog were trying to cross Adams Avenue when they were hit by an eastbound 2009 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 35-year-old man.
Woman Critically Hurt in Normal Heights Crash on Adams Avenue and 34th Street
The woman sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a hospital. Her dog was killed in the crash.
The driver stayed at the scene. Police said the driver was not suspected of DUI.
The incident is under investigation.
