Sonora Woman Injured, Douglas Wishart Arrested after Tuolumne Crash at Carter Street at Tuolumne Road North

Tuoplumne, California (December 10, 2019) – A man was arrested following a suspected DUI hit-and-run collision collision that sent a woman to a hospital on Friday night in Tuolumne, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported just before 8 p.m. December 6, at Carter Street and Tuolumne Road North.
According to the report, Douglas Wishart, 33, of Escalon was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on Carter Street when he crashed into the left side of a 2012 Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on Tuolumne Road North.

Wishart reportedly fled the scene after the crash. Authorities conducted a search and later located Wishart at the Black Oak Casino.
Police arrested Wishart on suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. He was booked into jail on a $25,000 bail.
The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old Sonora woman, was taken to Adventist Health Sonora with minor injuries.
