Kern County, California (December 7, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred early Saturday morning in Kern County.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2:04 a.m. on southbound Highway 14.

At least two vehicles were involved in the collision. One of the cars possibly overturned onto its roof in the crash.

At least two people appeared to have sustained serious injuries, as per a reporting party at the scene.

Authorities confirmed that at least one person died in the collision.

Officers closed two lanes of the highway as crews worked the scene.
