66-Year-Old Timothy Barger Injured in Humboldt County Crash on US 101 near Salmon Creek Road

Humboldt County, California (December 6, 2019) – Timothy Barger, 66, of Guerneville, was injured in a fatal two-vehicle accident that occurred last wednesday afternoon near Miranda in Humboldt County, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at around 12:50 p.m. November 27, on US 101 south of Salmon Creek Road.
According to the report, an SUV was traveling southbound on US 101 when the driver drifted into the northbound side and collided with an oncoming Ford Excursion.
Timothy Barger Injured in Miranda Traffic Crash on US 101
Barger was a passenger in the SUV and was transported to St. Joseph Hospital by City Ambulance with major injuries. The man driving the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Ford suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Jerold Phelps Hospital.
The crash caused a closure of US 101 for nearly two hours as the scene was examined and cleared.
The crash is under investigation by the CHP.
