15 Freeway Pedestrian Accident in San Diego; Female Pedestrian Seriously Injured
San Diego, California (December 4, 2019) – A female pedestrian is nursing serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the accident occurred at about 5:19 p.m. on the eastbound Mira Mesa Boulevard on-ramp to southbound 15 Freeway.
The pedestrian was struck by a red sedan for unknown reasons.
An off-duty medical officer at the scene was helping the victim who was left lying in the roadway.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to take the victim to the hospital. The pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
