Woman Killed, 2 Hospitalized after Apple Valley Car Accident on Bear Valley Road near Jess Ranch Marketplace
Apple Valley, California (November 30, 2019) – A woman was killed and two other people were injured Friday morning in a traffic accident involving two vehicles in Apple Valley, authorities said.
The deadly accident took place just after 6:50 a.m. Friday, November 29 on Bear Valley Road, on a bridge over the Mojave River just west of Jess Ranch Marketplace.
According to the authorities, a red 1998 Chevrolet Camaro was traveling eastbound on Bear Valley Road when it slid on black ice and spun into the westbound lanes, directly into the path of a white 1994 Toyota pickup. Both vehicles eventually collided and came to stop in the westbound lanes.

The female passenger in the Camaro was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.
The driver of the Camaro sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The driver of the pickup, a Lucerne Valley man, was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
