Paraglider Critically Hurt in Santa Ynez Crash in Cachuma Saddle near Goat Rock
Santa Ynez, California (November 23, 2019) – A man was critically injured in a paragliding accident that occurred in Santa Ynez on Friday afternoon.
According to the authorities, the incident was reported at around 1:45 p.m. November 22, in Cachuma Saddle east of Goat Rock.
A 42-year-old man was paragliding when he went down near a popular hiking spot.
A helicopter was dispatched to the scene to help hoist the victim.
He was then taken to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
