Palo Alto, CA: Palo Alto Utilities Department Worker Fatally Electrocuted on E. Meadow Drive
Lineman Killed in Palo Alto Accident on E. Meadow Drive near Middlefield Road
Palo Alto, California (November 17, 2019) – A lineman who works for the Palo Alto Utilities Department was fatally electrocuted while on duty at the city on Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident happened in the 670 block of E. Meadow Drive near Middlefield Road at about 9:47 a.m. on Saturday, November 16.
Authorities said the lineman was working on an electrical transformer when he was electrocuted.

Responding crews found the victim in the bucket of a utility boom truck. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The authorities have not released the identity of the victim pending notification of the next of kin.
California’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the accident.
