Desiree Lumas Killed in Multi-Vehicle Accident on 50th Street East in Palmdale
Victim Killed in Palmdale Car Crash on 50th Street East ID’d as Desiree Lumas
Palmdale, California (November 16, 2019) – The female party, who was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Palmdale Thursday morning, has been identified as 54-year-old Desiree Lumas.
The deadly accident, which happened at approximately 9:00 a.m. November 14, occurred on 50th Street East near Palmdale Boulevard.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, Lumas, who was driving a 1999 Honda Accord northbound on 50th Street East, crossed into the southbound lanes and crashed into a 2004 Chevy Silverado. She continued northbound, where she collided head-on with a 2017 BYD Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) bus.
The initial report indicated that the Chevy and the AVTA bus were traveling southbound on the same road at the time of the collision.

Lumas was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the AVTA bus driver was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The Chevy Silverado motorist was not injured and stayed at the scene after the wreck.
The CHP said alcohol and drugs were not factors in the accident.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
