Pedestrian Killed in Apple Valley Crash on Navajo Road near Powhatan Road
Apple Valley, California (November 10, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a vehicle on Saturday night in Apple Valley, according to the Apple Valley Sheriff’s station.
The incident was reported at around 11:37 p.m. November 9, on Navajo Road just north of Powhatan Road.
According to the deputies, a minivan was traveling northbound on Navajo Road when it struck a Hispanic adult male who was attempting to cross the street.
Pedestrian Dies in Apple Valley Crash
The driver stayed at the scene and contacted the authorities. The driver also performed CPR on the victim until emergency crews arrived.
The victim was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
The driver reportedly cooperated with the investigators.
Deputies said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash
The investigation is ongoing.
