Carlos Mejia Killed Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 near Gower Street in Hollywood
Hollywood, California (November 6, 2019) – The authorities have disclosed the identity of a man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Hollywood, Los Angeles, last Friday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 1 a.m. November 1, on Hollywood (101) Freeway near Gower Street.
84-year-old Carlos Mejia of Los Angeles was walking in the area when he was hit by a 2007 Nissan driven by a 34- year-old man from Sanger.
Mejia was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to a local hospital. Sadly, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.
The motorist and his passenger remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
No further information concerning the accident was provided.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
