Bakersfield, California (November 3, 2019) – Kathy McNutt has been identified as one of the victims who died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in Bakersfield, according to a local news source.

The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place at about 12:30 p.m. November 1, on southbound Highway 99, just south of Rosedale Highway.

Two semi-trucks and a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup were involved in the crash. One semi-truck failed to slow down for traffic ahead and rear-ended the pickup truck while traveling southbound on Highway 99. The pickup was pushed into a semi traveling ahead and was pinned between the two semis.

McNutt and her boyfriend were riding in the pickup truck and were killed in the collision.

Southbound Highway 99 was closed down as officers examined and cleared the scene.

Authorities are investigating the accident.
