David Jones Injured in Deadly Nice Big Rig Crash on Highway 20
Nice, California (November 1, 2019) – David Jones, 48, of Ukiah was injured in a big rig collision that left an Oakley man dead on Tuesday afternoon in Nice.
According to the CHP, the crash happened at about 3:18 p.m. October 29, on Highway 20, east of Manzanita Drive.
CHP said the 66-year-old Oakley man was driving a white 2002 Ford F250 van eastbound on Highway 20 when he drifted over the double yellow lines for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a westbound blue 2008 Peterbilt three axle semi truck driven by Jones.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name has not been released pending notification of the next of kin.
Jones was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
