Oxnard, California (October 16, 2019) – The bicycle rider who was hospitalized with major injuries following a traffic collision involving two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon in Oxnard has succumbed to his injuries.

According to the authorities, the crash happened at about 1 p.m. October 9, at Bard and Saviers roads.

Police said an 88-year-old woman was driving a 2017 Nissan Versa southbound on Saviers Road when she tried to turn left onto Bard Road and collided with a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado heading north.

The impact caused the Silverado to roll over, hitting a bicyclist standing on the side of the road.

Bino Conde Killed in Oxnard Bicycle Collision

The rider, identified as Bino Conde, 43, of Oxnard, was rushed to Ventura County Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to Ventura County Medical with moderate injuries.

The driver of the Silverado, a 23-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
