Kellie Michelle ID’d as Homeless Woman Killed in Santa Rosa Crash on Hoen Avenue near Cypress Avenue

Santa Rosa, California (October 16, 2019) – The homeless woman who was killed in a DUI collision early Monday morning in Santa Rosa has been identified as Kellie Nora Michelle, 50, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at about 3 a.m. October 14, on Hoen Avenue near Cypress Avenue.
Police said Angel Ivan Martinez, 21, of Santa Rosa was driving a Dodge Challenger eastbound on Hoen Avenue at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed into a white Mazda that was parked along Hoen Avenue.
The impact of the crash pushed the Mazda into the front yard of a home. A parked Prius was also impacted in the crash.

Michelle and her dog were sleeping inside the Mazda and were killed in the crash.
Martinez was treated for minor injuries. He also failed sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter with DUI among other charges. He was booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
The crash caused a closure of Hoen Avenue between Yulupa Avenue and Montgomery High School as investigators examined the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
