Minor Injuries Sustained in Santa Barbara Truck Crash on Highway 101 near San Ysidro Road

Santa Barbara, California (October 15, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained after a big rig collision early Tuesday morning in Santa Barbara, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The collision happened at around 12:13 a.m. Tuesday, on northbound Highway 101, just south of San Ysidro Road.
According to the report, two big rigs and a vehicle crashed for unknown reasons. One of the semi-trucks overturned blocking San Ysidro Road off-ramp and North Jameson Road.

Responding firefighters along with paramedics attended to the persons who suffered minor injuries in the collision. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately released.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Authorities closed the fast lane of the highway to give way to a clearing operation. All lanes were expected to re-open as of 7:00 a.m.
No other information regarding this crash was provided.
