Steven Oatman Among 5 Injured in Costa Mesa Crash on 55 Freeway near Victoria Street

Costa Mesa, California (October 15, 2019) – Steven Oatman, 55, of Costa Mesa was among five people injured in a traffic collision that occurred early Sunday morning in Costa Mesa, according to a local news source.
The wreck happened at around 3:36 a.m. October 13, on the 55 Freeway just north of Victoria Street.
CHP said a Toyota Camry was heading north in the southbound lanes of the Freeway when it collided with an oncoming GMC Sierra. The Camry came to a stop on the freeway and was struck shortly after by a southbound Ford Expedition.
Steven Oatman Injured in Costa Mesa Crash
Oatman, who was driving the GMC, and the two occupants of the Camry were all taken to Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver of the Ford was transported to Hoag Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Camry was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The crash is under investigation.
